The Socrates Project is an ambitious initiative intended to take full advantage of these exceptional facilities and engage students, faculty, and the community at large in vibrant, multidisciplinary and educational programming and performances. In showcasing the liberal arts and demonstrating the power of critical thought to address some of our most significant challenges, the project is intended as a major intervention in the intellectual life of our society.
McMaster is seeking an accomplished, imaginative, and inspiring leader to launch and oversee the operational mandate of this exciting project. As the ideal candidate, you are a strategic and inspiring leader who will develop and deliver a compelling vision for the implementation of the Socrates Project, and engender enthusiastic support among its stakeholders, partners, and donors. You are a knowledgeable and respected scholar or professional with demonstrated experience of successfully leading high-profile cross-disciplinary projects. You are well known in the Arts, media, public policy or a related field. You are a skilled administrator with the organizational judgement and experience to build and oversee the infrastructure for the implementation of the Project and support its long-term success.
