Victoria Theatre is Seeking A Vice President of Ticketing & Sales to serve as a vital member of our Organization and an active and collaborative member of our Senior Leadership Team. Responsibilities includes growth in sales and development for the business operations of Ticketing Center Stage including Box Office, Group, and Telemarketing sales initiatives. . This position also serves as the liaison and company representative amongst other arts organizations and licensees utilizing Ticket Center Stage services. Ticket Center Stage is selling in excess of $10,000,000 in tickets per year depending on programming.
Essential Functions
- Develops annual ticketing sales plan in conjunction with the Marketing and Communications department and in support of organization strategy and objectives.
- Directs implementation and execution of sales policies and practices.
- Ensures communications are coordinated, supports sales plan objectives and meets organizational expenditure requirements in conjunction with VP of Marketing.
- Recommends sales strategies for improvement based on market research and competitor analyses.
- Implements approved distribution strategies.
- Manages multiple channel selling strategies.
- Builds, develops and manages Ticket Center Stage sales team capable of carrying out top notch patron experiences sales.
- Leading departmental budgeting and financial planning processes
- Completing and overseeing assigned areas of the strategic plan
- Leading productive meetings of his or her department and project teams as appropriate
- Maintaining standards of professionalism for the organization in the areas of confidentiality, teamwork, timely and effective communications, enforcement of company policies, and standards of customer service.
- Effectively hiring, training, developing, and appraising direct reports while taking corrective action when necessary in accordance with company policies and in consultation with the VP of Human Resource.
- Assists in areas of facility promotion, guest satisfaction, and subscriber and ticket holder retention.
- Evaluates ticketing system and service for customer and guest value, identifies areas for improvement, and develops programs to strengthen this service.
- Creates one-of-a-kind experiences for attendees of events at the Schuster Center, the Victoria Theatre, and Loft Theatre.
- Maintains a master list of attendees at all venues, satisfaction ratings of these customers, and develops strategies to react to fluctuations in satisfaction.
- Provides a high quality, specialized training program for all employees, including cross-training and promotion strategies.
- Annually assesses costs of operation and compares to ticketing, and licensing rates to determine recommended discounts.
- Facilitates cross-training of all departments on multiple functions.
- Serves a member of the Programming Committee along with senior team members from Education, Marketing, Contracts and Licensees, and the President and CEO.
- Performs other related duties as assigned.
Core Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management or Business Administration
- 7-10 years of experience in Ticketing Service
- Strongly prefer experience in a Tessitura ticketing environment.
- 5 years experience managing multiple departments
- 3 years of working in a not for profit desired
- Problem solving/analytical & strategic thinker
- Professional business acumen

Performance Standards
The performance of the Vice President of Ticketing and Hospitality will be evaluated upon the following performance standards:
- Patron Experience satisfaction ratings on established collections of feedback
- Food costs and inventory coming in at and or under favorable costs.
- The financial performance of all operations under the leadership of Ticketing & Sales based on annual goals for: Ticket Center Stage, Group Sales and Telemarketing
