San Antonio Symphony seeks a dynamic and knowledgeable Marketing Director to lead all functions that drive earned revenue and achieve patron service goals. This position is responsible for the development and execution of an integrated, strategic marketing plan and guiding overall brand and sales strategies for the San Antonio Symphony. Reporting to the Executive Director, the Marketing Director will implement all aspects of the various marketing campaigns designed to generate subscriptions and single ticket sales thru direct mail, digital and social media, website, advertising, and public relations efforts.
With responsibility for generating earned revenue, the Marketing Director ensures the Symphony continues to build audiences of the future. This position works in partnership with other Symphony staff to ensure alignment of sales and marketing efforts with institutional goals. The Marketing Director is responsible for developing marketing budgets and revenue projections; serves as liaison to the Tobin Center marketing department and oversees telemarketing campaigns.
Desired Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, arts management or related field.
5 years marketing experience in comparable industry, with 3 years in a rising leadership position. Experience in a non-profit performing arts sales environment a plus.
Exceptional track record of developing, and implementing marketing, sales and public relations strategies that have consistently met or exceeded objectives.
Ability to use analytics to target marketing efforts and gauge effectiveness.
Demonstrated superior written and verbal communication skills.
