Two Joan Miró Paintings Damaged In Venice’s Record-Breaking Flood

Ironically, the canvases weren’t even damaged by the floodwaters. They had been stored for safekeeping on the second floor of the Palazzo Zaguri (where they were to be shown in the new exhibition “From Kandinsky to Botero”), only to be half submerged because of a plumbing leak in a nearby bathroom.
